Sports for Self-Defense

Empower. Protect. Inspire.

Northeast India has a deep martial arts tradition — and a real safety gap for the women and children who could benefit most from it. Sports for Self-Defense puts those two facts together, partnering with certified local martial artists to deliver practical self-defense training in villages and cities across the region.

The programme is built to be sustainable rather than a one-off workshop: it recruits and compensates local instructors, builds partnerships with schools and community organisations, and runs ongoing sessions rather than single demonstrations.

Who It's For

Women and children in both rural and urban communities across Northeast India, and certified local martial arts instructors looking for paid, recognised volunteer roles.
